A Day In The Eyes of a Teenager

Shoes, Jesus, and My New Year's Resolutions: It All Makes Sense in the End.

These are my shoes.
We all have shoes, but these are mine.
They're not the newest.
I own shoes that look nicer.
They're coming apart at the seams and they have a few holes.
I get told about this sometimes.
Yet they're my favorite pair of shoes.

They're a lot like people actually.
We all have our flaws.
Sometimes, we feel like we're coming apart at the seams.
But at the end of the day, we're still here.
You know why?
Because we have a purpose here.

Whether you like it or not, we're all here for someone else.
We affect all the lives around us.
It's our job.
And while we're doing our job,
sometimes we get hurt.
Sometimes we fall apart.
Sometimes we get judged.

But in the end, you realize that it's not about you.
As long as you've done your job and contributed to the greater good,
your scars don't matter.
In fact, they show character.
They show how far you go for others.
The battles you fight for those who cannot.

We all have to walk the road of life.
And we all leave our footprints imprinted on other people's paths.
How big of an impact you want to leave is up to you.
It might wear your shoes down,
But at the end of the day,
it's all worth it.

That's what 2013 is about.
I must have realized my purpose last year after this.
If you can give someone one more day of hope,
it's all worth it.
Trust me.

I had a lot of time to think over Christmas break.
And I think I might have found God.
I think God is in all of us.
It's the salvation we give each other.
It's the positive energy we put out there.
God is energy.
And he gave his energy to us.
We can either use it positively or negatively.
And with every positive, there's negative.
There's no way around it.
The universe must balance itself out.
So keep your head up when things are going downhill.
Another reason to be happy is that your energy affects others.
It really does.
Be positive and others will feel that.

On a serious note, I'm here for anyone and everyone.
I resolve to be as selfless as I can be.

On a not so serious note, I love you all
so HOW CAN I HELP YOU!?
Ha ha seriously though,
I probably care about you more than I care about myself.
I'm here if anyone ever needs to talk.
I've been through quite a few experiences in life.
I won't judge you.

Just know that I'm here.

"Let's take this one day at a time. I'll hold your hand if you hold mine. The time we kill keeps us alive"
