Life can be a lot like a motorcycle ride. Not only life but anything you're passionate about, especially love.
Falling in love isn't a choice but deciding you're going to love someone is. Anyone can get on a bike, but not everyone can ride one.
And once you've decided to love someone (or ride that bike), you're risking a whole lot. Every bump in the road holds the possibility of you losing control. Procede with caution. Don't forget, a relationship takes two. Every decision you make affects your passenger as well as you and when you're the one who grips the handlebars, the only thing they have to hold onto is you.
The goal is to never reach the end of the road. Make the trip last forever. Sure I'll admit there's no greater feeling than going fast on a bike but I'm soon disappointed when I've reached my destination so quickly. And no one should speed without understanding the risks you're taking.
Especially consider those nasty raindrops mentioned earlier. Little things thrown your way that put a damper on relationships (and bike rides).
Going at such high speeds makes the tiniest raindrop feel like the venom from the fattest hornet. The sting is unbelievable for such a small drop of water.
However, when traveling at a slower speed, the rain hitting your skin is uncomfortable yet manageable. Don't forget to ask your passenger how they're doing during these downpours. Everyone reacts differently.
Although the goal is to not reach the end of the road, don't forget you must not move too slow. You may tip the whole bike over without seeing the amazing scenery first and that's just not cool.
So enjoy the ride while it lasts. Travel the speed limit. Stop and rest if you must but never ever leave your passenger behind. Make your road never ending and avoid crashing and burning. And maybe you will crash a few times but help each other up if you're not injured too badly and try again. Most importantly, never stop loving each other.
